Second-look Weekend 2008

Students who receive offers of admission to Duke MSTP are invited to campus to take a second look at Duke and the community. Travel and lodging arrangements are the same as for the interview visit. Second-look for 2008 is Thursday, April 3, through Sunday, April 6. The MSTP Symposium takes place Thursday afternoon and evening. On Friday and Saturday many activities give visitors a glimpse of the intellectual climate and opportunities available at Duke University School of Medicine and a taste of social life at Duke and in Durham.

The weekend is a good chance to see the campus and community in more detail and to ask questions about Duke MSTP, the medical school, and work in the basic science departments. Some MSTP applicants like to interview with more faculty members during this visit, taking the opportunity to explore further the sorts of research being done at Duke. Applicants should notify the MSTP office (MSTP@duke.edu) of any particular faculty members with whom they would like to meet.

The weekend begins Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 1:30 pm and runs through Sunday, April 6, at noon. Applicants should plan to arrive on Thursday morning and depart in the afternoon on either Saturday or Sunday.

The School of Medicine schedule for 2008 Second-look Weekend is posted on the School of Medicine admissions web client.
